it’s chilly outside so that means CHILI. yes, i’m that basic. 🤷🏻♀️ this recipe for taco chili is up on my blog so grab a hearty ass spoonful and stay warm.
i love fall. 🍁🍂 i love the fact that texas is actually experiencing fall right now instead of 100+ degrees like usual. it makes me want to bust out some cinnamon, spice and everything nice - like this fall sangria i made with @thestoribook and @llanowine. ❤️
"The world has enough beautiful mountains and meadows, spectacular skies and serene lakes. It has enough lush forests, flowered fields, and sandy beaches. It has plenty of stars and the promise of a new sunrise and sunset every day. What the world needs more of is people to appreciate and enjoy it." — Michael Josephson. #gratitude
feeling really grateful for a lot of things lately. when you find gratitude in the smallest things, it makes a big difference. be grateful for every breath, the sunshine on your skin, the flowers blooming, the dogs barking... there’s just so much to be grateful for in life. ❤️
kerrville, you have my ❤️. thank you for a beautifully peaceful weekend celebrating @alanlozanorealtor’s birthday with family.
nothing but the horizon and thoughts. ✈️
morning hikes don’t get better than this. ☀️🌊
we almost lost my younger brother when he was 12. he had appendicitis and the hospital we took him to said it was a stomach flu. his appendix ruptured at home and had a 5% chance of survival by the time we got him to different hospital. he was in there for a couple of weeks, fighting for his life. my brother is a walking miracle. he has overcome low odds and when they said he wouldn’t play sports again, 12 weeks later, he played. he played all through school. being able to have my brother visit and show him around was a great time. we went to see a baseball game, kayaked in austin and ate some real texas bbq. when life has you defeated, fight. fight for your life. because no matter what, it’s a wonderful life. ❤️
my favorite exercise is a cross between a crunch and a lunge. i call it lunch.
