Well it’s not throwback thurs, but I thought I would post this little painting as I’m feeling nostalgic today. It’s an old one, completed in a painting class. But it holds a special place in my heart. It was the first painting I gave my husband when we were dating. Happy Friday everyone. Enjoy your loved ones this weekend!
How small can we go? I’m playing with this little 5x5 today.
THE SMALL MOMENTS⠀ ___________________⠀ ⠀ It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This moment on the weekend reminded me to slow down and just enjoy the small things. ⠀ ___________________⠀ ⠀ Happy Tuesday everyone and enjoy your small moments!⠀ ⠀ ⠀
I had a chance to paint at the camp this week. One of my favourite places on earth and surrounded by family and friends to boot! . . We have been going for years, it’s an amazing tradition - I’ve brought my paints every year for 7 years, and this is the first time I’ve carved out some time to break my paints out. Too much fun to be had in the water and with friends and family. But I have to say, I’m so happy to have snuck some time this year. It felt great. . . Perseverance people. Perseverance! Lol
My painting setup today. It’s a rough life. ;)
I'm the most creative when my soul is calm. To do this I often make soup. It's methodical, I work with fresh ingredients and it appeals to my senses. After a few days I am often ramped down enough to create.... anyone else?
I love that my little girl can climb through a hollow tree! So brave and loving nature.
Nature has so many beautiful textures. Capturing not only the essence of their tone and colour but also their interaction with their environment. So fundamentally beautiful and truly a lifetime study.
