I had a huge creative release the last few days. I am attributing it to sleeping in one of the world’s most comfortable bed in this room ☝🏼 at the @wynn.macau , seriously, they have a take-home linens menu for a reason... 😍 - What is interesting about this creative release is that I had tons of connective, inspiring realizations throughout my days... but they kept coming at the wrong times! I would be musing during quiet moments, and then I would suddenly have an exceptional thought— which I would hardly have any time to consider in depth, and didn’t have any time at all to note. Now, after the craziness of our trip is over, I can barely call to mind the skeletons of the wonderful ideas... - I wonder also if it is due to the full moon. The moon definitely affects life on earth in a multitude of ways, yet what about within our personal experience? Our spirits, our physical bodies, our collective psyche? Who knows... maybe science will refute all the claims of mysticism, or perhaps some will be established. I like the structure that something like that could bring— if I know I will be at my most creative under a full moon, I will prepare. I will rest beforehand, I will isolate myself if I need to, I will eat foods that leave me clear headed, and I will have my tools together to record my thoughts and receive inspiration. Yet, those things would probably be conducive to my creativity on any day! (Just not possible in the current structure of life). - It is interesting how the idea of some external influence or opportunity can create a habit pattern that confirms the perceived benefit of the opportunity. I look back on my experiences in the church, “sensing the spirit”. Do not other faiths produce the same thing? There are intuitive mystics, there are skilled psychiatrists, there are chakra workers, aura healers, reiki practitioners. Perhaps all these things are simply different paths of the same human experience. - In the church, these are considered fake. “The devil loves to copy god, so that it is hard to discern that god’s truth is the only truth.” If these copies were fake, how can they also catalyze aspects of the divine? And why do Christian practices err?
