Be true to yourself, listen to what you really want, and then go pursue it. Going with the hips opening theme this next set of posts. Today's arm balance with a hip opener is the grasshopper pose. This is one of the more challenging arm balances for me due to the tight hips. The key here is to be able to get one's foot as close to one's armpit as possible. This will provide the best grip, especially during and after sweaty practices. The grip is important because you'll need to press down hard with your foot to lift the back leg up. The more solid grip you have, the more stable you'll be.
