This is Pan Benz the Foxie (Mr Benz in Polish). He was caught being adorable and sweetly puppy’esque outside the Greenwich Post Office. His naming was a fascinating story. His Polish family had experienced WWII at the hands of Nazi’s. In Polish/German custom it is not cool to give a dog a human name. But given their terrible experience, Benz’s human great grandma? named her dog the surname of head guard at her prison camp. She would later wander around calling out, “Benz... Benz” as a bit of you bird flip to Nazi’s. And so too became this little Benz. A tribute to his Polish family roots but now he is an adored and energetic, sweet hearted little #OPDOTD for me to canoodle.
