Ching Farm Rescue & Sanctuary ( @chingsanctuary )

Cheers to all our Volunteers!!!! Ching Farm Rescue Sanctuary is completely dependent on the goodness of our volunteer team. Without them all of these wonderful rescued animals would not be able to receive their daily food, water and care. Seven days a week morning and evening shifts come out to the sanctuary. These people give of their time, energy and compassion. We are grateful to each one of them for what they contribute. Beehive brags continues with Jessie Balicki, who has set a goal to go snowboarding for 12 consecutive months in Utah.
Q. What got you into snowboarding and What motivated you to go every month?

A. Snowboarding is my passion. I've been in Utah for 5 years, and last winter was the first in which it really never stopped snowing. When there's snow out there, I'll do almost anything to snowboard it. Hence the 12 month snowboarding project. It hasn't been easy, but it's been worth it.
Q. Can you give us a crazy story from your experiences? what would you call the craziest or most memorable moment?

Lots of crazy times. For example, last weekend, I hiked over 15 miles with 5000' elevation gain to snowboard for 10 minutes. In the winter, I'll wake up at 4am to go on a backcountry tour before work, and still make it to the office by 9am. Does that make me dedicated or delusional? Sometimes I'm not even sure haha.
Q. What has surprised you most about getting into this activity?
A I've learned a lot of life lessons in the mountains. Backcountry skiing makes me feel inspired, confident, humbled, and motivated. The camaraderie I've experienced has been unparalleled. Sometimes it's hard to find that kinda stuff elsewhere. .

くるくる巻き毛が流行ったのはいつの頃だろう。

いや、そもそも巻き毛は多少形は変わっても、常に可愛い女の子の定番スタイルなのかもしれない。
.
可愛い❤︎に、ついぞ縁のない処に身を置いてるモノとしては巻き毛に対して憧れはおろか、自分も！なんて
思いつきもしないのだが。
.
巻き毛を可愛い子の象徴とするには些か強引すぎるけれど、中村明日美子嬢の作品《Jの総て》の主人公、J.S.カレンズバー通称Jもクルクル天然金髪巻き毛の可愛い男の子だ。
.
そんな彼の夢はマリリンモンローになること。
通常のBLならさぞ、切なく甘い物語になりそうだが
明日美子嬢の手に掛かればそうはいかない。
.
非bl作品であり、トランスジェンダーの主人公Jの半生を通して描かれたストーリーは、同性同士の恋愛要素はあるものの甘いところは殆ど無く、かなりヘビーでハードな内容となっている。
.
この重い物語に華を添えるケーキは濃厚過ぎず、可愛い過ぎず。
そして、明日美子嬢特有の流れる様な絵柄を感じられるケーキ。
そんな理想に合うケーキはないものかと作ったのが、ドイツの《オリンピア-トルテ》アレンジバージョン。

浮き粉入りロールケーキを薄く切ってドーム型にした中にクリームシャンティ、煮たリンゴ入りカスタード、ガナッシュと3層にクリームを重ね、底はスポンジ生地とシュクレ生地に。
表面には主人公のトレードマークでもある金髪をイメージしてあんずジャムで艶やかに仕上げた。

甘過ぎず、口に広がる豊かなハーモニーを楽しみながら
